Reading is beautiful...

Her Driving Force

By Herbert Doris

Happy Tuesday, guys! How was everyone’s holiday? Mine went really well, I ended up making gumbo, and we ate by some of my wife’s colleagues. It felt good to be stuffed and not have to worry about dishes! LOL.

This was supposed to be posted yesterday, but by the time I got off of work looking at another computer screen wasn’t an option at all. So, yea, LOL, ya’ll are getting it today.

I actually came across Herbert Doris’s book via Facebook advertising. I was advertising for my third book, and he actually shared a link of his book in my comments. And we authors gotta support one another. So, of course I grabbed my copy. And I am so glad I did!

Her Driving Force involves three main characters: Fisk, Sunni, and Kayla.

Fisk, manages his own successful transportation company, and is married to Sunni. But they are on the verge of a divorce that Fisk wants. Sunni is a house wife by day, but definitely a part of the elite social class by night. She comes from money, so that’s not what keeps her fighting for her marriage.

Now, here comes Kayla. She’s striving to be a news anchor, but can’t seem to get a break in her local city. And just as she considers leaving, her aunt, Teedy, falls ills.

So, Kayla stays and finds herself working at a bar where she meets Fisk. And it’s definitely lust at first sight! Kayla mentions she’s looking for a job, and Fisk of course rushes in to save the day and makes Kayla a driver for his company.

The affair between them doesn’t start quickly, which is probably why Kayla had the time and energy to invest into her side hustle. As a driver, she found herself getting asked for sexual favors by her passengers.

Though she wasn’t that type of woman, she wasted no time finding women who were! Which is where the “Madam Fireball” name comes into play.

But we all know nothing good lasts forever. And in this book, there’s blow after blow after blow, LOL. I’ll drop a little hint, Sunni not only finds out about Kayla sleeping with her soon-to-be ex-husband, but she also finds out about her “second job.” And the crazy thing is, that’s not even the craziest thing that happens!

Her Driving Force is filled with love, hate, betrayal, blackmail, and murder! Oh, and did I mention this story takes place in New Orleans, La? LOL.

Definitely giving Her Driving Force five stars and I look forward to reading more work by the author.

If you’ve checked this book out, let me know what you think.

And remember, I am always looking for new book recommendations!

Talk to you guys soon!
