Drinking wine...and feeling fine!
Hey! Hey! Hey!
How’s everybody doing this week?
This week has been pretty chilled for me, thank gawd, since online classes will be starting next week for my son. Though I am thrilled to be in a position to keep him home, the idea of technically repeating the 6th grade has me shaken, LOL.
If you haven’t peeped it already, I haven’t been as “on it” as usual with my posting, and I do apologize. I have been completely wrapped up in my third book, Confessions of a Side Chick, as well as some changes within our family. That will be announced later on!
Today’s review is going to be on 2018 Chenin Blanc Aromatherapy. Now, I won’t lie, based upon the name, I thought this wine was going to be bursting with different scents. But, I mean when you think of aromatherapy you think of different calming scents.
Now, I’m still working on my wine nose, so the most I got from this bottle was a strong citrusy scent. It was pleasant, but I guess I wanted more.
The taste wasn’t bad, although it did remind me of a Chardonnay. It had a lemon/limey bite to it but was cool tasting.
So, I paired this bottle with herbed butter rice and spicy fried catfish, and it was amazing. I like my food a little on the spicy side, so the wine enhanced the spices, as well as cooled my palate down.
Though it reminded me of Chardonnay, I’ll still rate this bottle about three stars. I’ll possibly try it again in the future, but only if someone gets it for me as a gift, LOL. I don’t think I’ll buy it for myself.
Have you had this wine before?
Let me know what you think!
As always, thanks for joining me this evening. Please, subscribe if you haven’t already.
There WILL BE A BOOK REVIEW this month! LOL, I’ve started an ebook by Penelope Sky that I’ve been babysitting for a while now, but I will be done with it this month. Probably before the month is over if I can help it!
Either way, stay tuned!
